Our production

Production of genuine leather is a very labor-intensive process the raw material for which is cattle hides. Production cycle for the high-quality genuine leather, from the raw material to finished product, consists of many technological processes.

Leather production technology

The main processes of leather production are:

It is carried out in order to eliminate the risk of low-quality or infected raw material entering the tannery.
This technological process is carried out on the Vallero drums with pegs. They are designed for pre-tanning, as well as soaking and limimg processes. About 4.5 tons of raw material can be loaded into each of these drums.
The resulting product is formed by grades into production batches in accordance with the required technical characteristics of the manufactured articles. Next, the semi-finished product is splitted: during this process it is cut into the upper (grain) and lower (split) layers.
These processes are carried out in special drums. This is a very important technological process during which the semi-finished product acquires such properties as: flexibility, softness and elasticity. At the same time, the leather does not lose moisture and is filled with certain substances, depending on the technical characteristics of the required article.
During this process, the grain side of the leather becomes smooth and even. The leather becomes resistant to mechanical action and organic solvents.

At the final stages of these processes, the following equipment is used:

  • Rizzi setting out machine: it is used for sammying and setting out of the semi-finished product after dyeing and fatliquoring: this equipment is also used to partially remove moisture and straighten wrinkles on the leather;
  • Incoma vacuum dryer: it is used to remove moisture in the crust leather before it goes into the pole drying tunnel for drying;
  • Cartigliano staking machine: it is used to make leather elastic and soft.

The following equipment is used for finishing operations at the tannery:

  • Barnini spraying line: it is used to apply the coating of the required colour and shade. This process is carried out by spraying of the coating mixture;
  • Mostardini press: it helps to fix the finishing coating on the surface;
  • Bergi buffing machine: it is used to give the material a "writing" effect;
  • Through-feed combipresses "Star Plus" and "Gemata".

After finishing the finished product is sent to the laboratory to be checked for compliance with the technical specifications. Then the leather is sorted out and measured by area, after which it is packed and sent to the customer..
